How it works

Why the BS date matters for businesses
Government offices in Nepal — the IRD, OCR, SSF and local bodies — set deadlines, issue certificates and date notices in Bikram Sambat. A VAT return 'by the 25th' means the 25th of the Nepali month, and the OCR annual return is due by the end of Poush, not a fixed English date.
