Salary and Payslip Calculator Nepal (SSF + Tax)
From basic salary and allowances to take-home pay: SSF, monthly salary TDS, festival allowance and employer cost.
How it works
Enter monthly basic salary and allowances. The calculator deducts 11% employee SSF on basic, adds the employer's 20% to taxable income and deducts it again as a retirement contribution, applies the FY 2083/84 slabs (no 1% SST for SSF members) and shows monthly take-home pay and the employer's cost.
Dearness, transport, food and other allowances. SSF is calculated on basic salary only.

What goes on a Nepali payslip
- Basic salary — the base for SSF, gratuity and leave encashment.
- Allowances — dearness, transport, food and others; taxable but outside the SSF base.
- Festival allowance — one month's basic salary each year under the Labour Act, usually paid before Dashain.
- Employee SSF (11%) and salary TDS deducted each month.
- Employer SSF (20%) — paid on top and shown on the payslip as a benefit.
Payroll tips for FY 2083/84
The new slabs apply from Shrawan 2083, so update payroll settings and re-spread any tax already over-deducted in the first months. Deposit salary TDS and SSF within 25 days of month end — the compliance deadline generator lists every date.

Questions about this tool
Is SSF deducted from gross or basic salary?
From basic salary only: 11% from the employee and 20% from the employer.
Is the festival allowance taxable?
Yes. It is part of employment income and is included in the annual tax calculation.
Why is tax lower for SSF members?
SSF contributors do not pay the 1% social security tax on the first NPR 10 lakh, and both contributions are deductible within the retirement limits.
